Float the River
For a fun and slightly adventurous float, start at Tumalo State Park and head downstream to Twin Bridges, just 15 minutes outside of Bend. This stretch offers a mix of lazy river-style sections with scenic views of riverside homes and light rapids with tight turns, so hold on tight! Keep an eye out for northern river otters along the way. Be sure to follow safety guidelines with a life jacket and proper floating equipment, protect the river by holding onto your trash, and respect the flow by entering at the state park and exiting before the bridges. Plan ahead by leaving a car at the exit point, as there are no shuttles available.
