Whether you're wrapping up a day of hiking, biking, or paddling in beautiful Central Oregon, dinner in Sunriver is always a treat—especially when it's at one of our favorite spots: Marcello's Cucina Italiana.

Marcello's is a beloved go-to for cozy, satisfying dinners with family or friends. Here's how we love to do dinner when we visit:

Note: Marcello’s is only open for dinner and is especially popular during the summer months. Be sure to make a reservation in advance to secure your table! During the warmer months, their lovely outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy your meal al fresco.

Appetizers

We always start with the Spicy Arrabiata Prawns—the perfect kick to wake up your taste buds. Paired with the creamy Burrata Caprese, it’s a heavenly start to the evening. Add a crisp white wine (ask your server for their current recommendation!) and you’re off to a great start.

Salad

Don’t skip the Insalata alla Caesar—it's a classic done right. The large portion is shareable, especially if you're saving room for the main course.

Entrees

Marcello's entrees offer something for every craving. If we're in the mood for pizza, the Eduardo’s Pizza is our go-to, and it also makes a phenomenal calzone if you're looking for something with a twist (and leftovers!).

For traditional Italian pasta dishes, we love the Mushroom Ravioli and the hearty Lasagna. If you’re looking for something beyond pasta, the Chicken Parmesan and Pork Osso Bucco are rich, flavorful, and filling.

All of these pair beautifully with a glass of Chianti from Thad’s well-curated wine list.

Dessert

End your meal on a sweet note with the cheesecake or Snicker’s pie—both are rich, decadent, and worth every bite.

Or, take a stroll after dinner and walk over to Goody’s for some ice cream or caramel corn. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a lovely evening in Sunriver.
